Sow seeds in germination trays, lightly covering with vermiculite Best in my opinion .Plant out sooner than later as they have large root systems .

When plants are about  20cm - 30 cm tall, take sharp pruners or your fingers and snip the top off just above where two leaves should emerge .I always say look for a V shape the cut above that V

Netting is preferable if you are looking for straight stems .They do tend to flop in wind and very wet conditions .

Harvesting Tips

Harvest when the individual flowers are half-way open. The more you harvest them, the more they bloom. Harvest early in the mornings they will keep for a week
