Planting Tip |
Sow seeds in germination trays, lightly covering with vermiculite. Best in my opinion. Plant out sooner than later as they have large root systems. |
|
Pinch |
When plants are about 20cm - 30 cm tall, take sharp pruners or your fingers and snip the top off just above where two leaves should emerge. I always say look for a V shape the cut above that V. |

Uses |
Excellent cut flowers. The more you cut the more blooms you get. |
|
Netting |
Netting is preferable if you are looking for straight stems. They do tend to flop in wind and very wet conditions. |
|
Harvesting Tips |
Harvest when the individual flowers are half-way open. The more you harvest them, the more they bloom. Harvest early in the mornings they will keep for a week. |
